• These will be included in the online test two parts: :
  • Part-I (Punjabi Language Aptitude Test): 50 MCQs (Compulsory). A minimum of 50% marks (i.e., 25 marks) is required to qualify. Failure in Part-I disqualifies the candidate irrespective of performance in Part-II.
  • Part-II: 100 MCQs (Total 100 marks)
    • Questions related to respective discipline (Technical – Electrician/Wireman): 50
    • Knowledge of Punjabi Language: 20
    • General Knowledge: 10

    • Arithmetic: 10
• Duration of Exam: 3 hours (180 minutes).

• Part-II will be bilingual (English/Punjabi) except Punjabi questions which will be in Punjabi only.
• Minimum qualifying marks in Part-II: :
  • normal range: 25%
  • Reserved Category (SC/BC/EWS/Ex-Serviceman/FF/SP/PWD): 20%
• merit list: Preparation was done on the basis of marks obtained Only Part-2 (After normalization if the examination is conducted in multiple shifts). For Sports Person category, final merit will be prepared by the Director/Sports, Punjab as per Sports Gradation Policy.
• In case of tie, the candidate older in merit will be placed higher.
• Candidates who qualify the online examination will be called document check As per qualification.
• The final selection panel will be prepared after successful document verification. Merely qualifying the examination or appearing for document verification does not guarantee appointment.
• Selected candidates will have to undergo 6 months classes + on-the-job training.

application mode: : Online only Through the official website of PSPCL. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Steps to apply: :

1. visit www.pspcl.in → Click on “Recruitment” tab → “Recruitment for the post of Assistant Lineman under CRA 315/26”.
2. click on new registration (Or registered candidate if already registered).
3. Fill Part-1 (Post applied for, Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mobile, Email etc.) and verify the OTP received on registered mobile/email.
4. Fill the complete online application form, upload scanned photograph (20-50 KB) and signature (10-20 KB) as per the specifications.
5. Accept Terms & Conditions and Self-Declaration → Click Save and Preview → submit.
6. proceed after submit payment fee Link (Internet Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card).
7. After successful fee payment, login again → Check “Fee Status” (Must show “Paid”).
8. Click print application form And keep the printout with you for future reference.
9. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but result is awaited should write “Result Pending” in the column for the year of passing but they must have qualified. 06-05-2026.

• The cut-off date to determine eligibility (age, qualification, experience etc.) is 01-01-2026. Candidates must possess the required qualifications Till last date of online application (06-05-2026).
• Only Punjab domicile candidates are eligible for reservation benefits.
• The category once filled in the online application cannot be changed later. Application of wrong category will be rejected.
• Reservation for women, ex-servicemen, PWD, EWS, sportspersons, freedom fighters as per Punjab Government. Rule.
• PwD candidates must have minimum 40% benchmark disability as per Annexure-A.
• Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/PSU will have to submit no objection certificate At the time of joining.
• Mobile phones, electronic devices, jewelery etc. are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
• PSPCL reserves the right to increase/decrease the vacancies or cancel the entire recruitment without assigning any reason.
• All future communications (admit card, result, document checking schedule etc.) will be sent and uploaded through the registered email ID only www.pspcl.in. Candidates must keep their email and mobile active.
• In case of any ambiguity, the decision of PSPCL will be final and binding. shall have jurisdiction over any dispute Local courts only in Patiala.
