Selection Process for DSSSB Sweeper & Chowkidar 2026
The selection of eligible candidates will be determined through a two-stage examination process, along with subsequent document verification:
- Stage 1 – Objective / MCQ Test: A written test carrying a total of 100 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. It will consist of four subjects:
- English (25 Questions – 25 Marks)
- Hindi (25 Questions – 25 Marks)
- General Knowledge including Current Affairs (25 Questions – 25 Marks)
- Arithmetic (25 Questions – 25 Marks)
- Stage 2 – Interview: Shortlisted candidates (up to a maximum of 10 times the number of vacancies) will be called for an interview. The interview carries 15 marks and will be conducted by the Office of the Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs). There are no minimum qualifying marks for the interview stage.
- Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in both the Objective test and the Interview.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will need to submit their supporting documents via the DSSSB e-dossier portal for final verification.
How to Apply Online for DSSSB Advt No 05/2026
Candidates must submit their applications via the online portal. Follow these steps to complete the process smoothly:
- Visit the official DSSSB online registration portal at dsssbonline.nic.in.
- If you are a new user, click on the link to complete the One Time Registration (OARS) process. If you are already registered, you can log in using your ID and password.
- Once logged in, look for the active link for Advt. No. 05/2026.
- Select your preferred post code: 46/26 for Sweeper/Safai Karamchari or 47/26 for Chowkidar.
- Fill in all personal, communication, and academic details carefully. Ensure all data matches your 10th-grade certificate.
- Upload scanned, clear copies of a recent passport-sized photograph (with a plain white or off-white background), signature, and valid ID proof per the specified dimensions.
- Pay the requisite application fee of Rs. 100/- via SBI e-Pay (women and reserved category candidates are exempt from the fee).
