Qualifying Marks & Factors Affecting Cut-Off
To be considered for the next stage, candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the written test. For the General/Open category, the qualifying requirement is 40% in Paper-I, while it is 35% for SC, BC, and ESM candidates. Additionally, scoring a minimum of 50% in the mandatory Paper-II (Punjabi Language) is strictly required to qualify. There was no negative marking in the exam. The official category-wise cut-off marks are influenced by:
- Total number of candidates who appeared in the exam.
- Difficulty level of various CBT shifts (Scores will be normalized).
- Total number of vacancies in the District and Armed cadres.
Next Stages: Physical Screening (PST) & Measurement Test (PMT)
Candidates who successfully clear the CBT and meet the cut-off criteria will be invited for the physical testing stages. The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will verify height and other physical standards, while the Physical Screening Test (PST) involves running, long jump, and high jump events. Both tests are qualifying in nature; no marks are awarded, but failing them leads to immediate disqualification. Candidates should begin physical preparation immediately and await the official PST/PMT schedule and admit cards to be published on the Punjab Police portal.
